Variable eDM services at EC Group
eDM, Electronic Direct Mail, is a common internet marketing tool used by lots of companies to promote their products and services. Since it is so common and easy to use, many people receive hundreds of these emails in each day from different companies and many of them just don't pay attention to these emails. Generally speaking, companies who use eDM would find 1-2 people opening their email out of 100 people. The response rate is around 1-2%.

To help companies solving the eDM low response rate problems, EC Group has partnered with the Focus Imaging Limited, to invent a brand new "Variable eDM" system. Unlike traditional eDM system that can only vary the text such us the end user names, our variable eDM system can also vary the images.

This system is the so called one-to-one marketing. That is 10,000 end users would receive 10,000 unique eDM, instead of the traditional 10,000 same piece of promotion material. For example, an insurance company would send birthday eDM to their clients in each month. In our variable eDM, the user would receive a birthday eDM with his/her name imprinted on the birthday cake.

Because the client feels that the eDM is so tailor-made, companies who adopt this state-of-the-art variable eDM system will find the response rate and brand image improve tremendously. Generally Speaking, the response rate of implementing the variable eDM is around 20-40%. That is around 10 times increase compared with the traditional eDM.
